United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) cooperate to facilitate safe travel and transportation into the United States. Under the current regulatory framework, TSA has responsibility for ensuring the security of the nation’s transportation of cargo by air into the United States while CBP has responsibility for securing the nation’s borders by preventing high-risk cargo fro m entering the US. 2018 CTPAT Conference Dates Announced!

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is proud to announce the 2018 CTPAT Conference. The conference will be held in Orlando, Florida. The conference will be September 12 and 13, 2018. September 12, 2018, will be general session with multiple speakers and panel discussions. September 13, 2018, will be a day of workshops. Both days will begin at 8:00 am and conclude around 5:30 pm. Deadline Approaching – Why Should Your Product Not Be on The 301 List!

We have been working hard to keep you up to date on the current Trade War between the United States and China. China has taken retaliatory actions against the United States in response to the first wave of additional U.S. duties that became effective on July 6, 2018. The United States is gearing up to impose a second round of 10% additional duties on approximately $200 billion worth of products of Chinese origin. The USTR has also been directed to consider levying a 25% tariff on these $200 billion worth of Chinese imports – thereby increasing the 10% to 25%.
